Our annual update events were held in Manchester and London at the start of June and once again were a great success. Thank you to all those who attended.
Statutory sick pay (from 6 April 2019 to 5 April 2020)
Payable for up to 28 weeks, at £94.25 per week.
Statutory maternity pay (from 7 April 2019 to 6 April 2020)
Payable for up to 39 weeks:
- Initial six weeks: 90% of gross average weekly earnings.
- Subsequent 33 weeks: Lower of £148.68 or 90% of gross average weekly earnings.
Statutory adoption pay (from 7 April 2019 to 6 April 2020)
Payable for up to 39 weeks:
- Initial six weeks: 90% of gross average weekly earnings.
- Subsequent 33 weeks: Lower of £148.68 or 90% of gross average weekly earnings.
Statutory paternity pay (from 7 April 2019 to 6 April 2020)
Payable for up to two weeks at the lower of £148.68 or 90% of gross average weekly earnings.
Shared parental leave pay (from 7 April 2019 to 6 April 2020)
Payable during the period of untaken maternity or adoption leave at the lower of £148.68 or 90% of gross average weekly earnings
Guarantee pay (from 6 April 2019 to 5 April 2020)
Payable during lay off for five days within a three month period, at £29.00 per day (subject to a maximum of five days or £145 in any three months)
Minimum wage rates (from 1 April 2019 to 30 March 2020)
- 25 years+ £8.21.
- 21 – 24 years £7.70.
- 18 – 20 years £6.15.
- 16 -17 years £4.35
- Apprentice aged under 19 or in the first year of apprenticeship £3.90
